Sunset Safaris makes every effort to include ALL activities and destinations listed. However due to the extreme nature of Fraser Island and Rainbow Beach, and weather unpredictability in general, some activities are subject to Tide, Time, and Weather factors, and the tour operator cannot be held liable due to these factors.
CANCELLATION POLICY DUE TO STRONG WINDS (Great Barrier Reef)
Occasionally strong winds will cause the cancellation of the boat that takes us to the Great Barrier Reef. The tour operator will always endeavour to cancel or postpone the excursion to the Town of 1770 before time of departure if winds are too strong. However, due to the unpredictability of winds, we may arrive at the Town of 1770, and be told by the boat company that the trip has been cancelled. In the uncommon event that this occurs, the tour operator will refund the total sum of the purchase price of the Boat ticket and reef tax ($170) at the town of 1770. A range of other activities such as snorkelling and diving in sheltered waters, sea kayaking, surfing, amphibious vehicle rides, and much more may be arranged by the tour operator staff at 1770, and these optional activities are then payable by the customer.
CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations with less than 24 Hours notice incurs a 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations with less than 72 hours, but not less than 24 hours, incurs a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations with less than 7 days notice, but not less than 72 hours notice incurs a $25% cancellation fee.
Cancellations not less than 7 Days notice will incur a 5% cancellation fee (administrative processing).
All customer cancellation incur a further Tours To Go cancellation fee.
for Wine or Reason:
If a cancellation of a Wine Tour occurs outside of 30 days form the Tour departure date a full refund will be given,
Cancellation inside of 15-30 days will incur a 50% cancellation fee,
Within 14 days of departure 100% cancellation fees will apply.
Flames of the Forest:
For bookings up to 5 passengers - Cancellation fee of 100% applies within 24 hours of the event.
For bookings of 6 or more passengers - Cancellation fee of 100% applies within 7 days of the event.
Exemplar Coaches & Limousines:
No penalty outside 24 hours. 100% within 24 hours.
Bunyip Adventure Tour:
Passenger cancellation/date change of any tour, in less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours prior to a departure time will result in a 50% refund of money paid. Cancellation within 24 hours of tour departure or failure to take up a booked tour will result in a 100% forfeiture of the tour fare. Please note also that a “cancellation” includes a change to the date of a tour booking that requires the original booking to be cancelled.
Adventure Victoria:
28 Days notice required for all cancellations for a full refund.
Groovy Grape Getaways:
Cancellation policy: GGT charges 25% 30 - 8 days, 50% 7 days to 24 hours and 100% within 24 hours prior departure.
Amendements: Inside 3 days passengers wanting to change tour dates will be charges a booking amendment fee of $44.00
Gray Line Sightseeing Day Tours - Melbourne & Adelaide:
Cancellation fees of 50% may apply for a tour cancelled within 72 and 24 hours of travel. Cancellation fees of 100% may apply to cancellations within 24hrs of travel or when no notice is given. Cancellation fees imposed on Gray Line by our suppliers will also be passed on.
Tours may be cancelled at Gray Line's discretion in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Brisbane Cruises:
72 hrs notice is required for general scheduled cruises. Cancellations within this time will not be refunded.
Four and six weeks is required for special events.

Jump Tours charges fees for cancellation by the customer depending on the time left before departure:
30 Days - 14 Days before departure: 25% of tour price
13 Days - 48 hours before departure: 50% of tour price
Less than 48hrs before departure: 100% of tour price

Bruny Island Safaris:

A full refund is available for cancellation up to 6 days before your tour.
Cancellation less than 6 days prior to departure will not be refunded.

Wetland Cruises:
Wetland Cruises reserve the right to cancel a tour if the group numbers are not sufficient, in such cases full refunds will be given. Any costs incurred by a client as a result of a delay or cancellation, including failure to make connections with any other service, are the responsibility of the passenger. We strongly recommend that all passengers have their own travel insurance to cover losses. Cancellation fees are 10% charge outside 14 days, 25% charge from 14 –8 days, 50% charge from 7—4 days and 100% charge within 72 hours of departure.
Explore Australia:
Explore Australia will not be held responsible for guests failing to familiarise themselves with the booking terms and conditions.
Cancellations within 48 hours or failure to board on the day of tour, will result in 100% full fare forfeiture.
No changes can be made within 48 hours of departure; however, you can transfer your booking to another person, and we must be advised of the name change.
